16 energy companies appear in the top of the 50 biggest companies from Romania in 2015 compiled by Ziarul Financiar. OMV Petrom remains in the second position after Automobile Dacia SA, with its business of fuels selling and in the third position with its extraction activities. Rompetrol Rafinare appears on the fourth position.
Rompetrol Downstream ranks 6th and Lukoil Romania is 8th, as on the tenth position there is E.On Energie Romania. ENGIE Romania and MOL Romania are on the 13th, respectively 16th positions, while the first energy company outside the oil and gas sector is Electrica, which ranked 19th.
Romgaz had lost about 10% of its turnover compared to 2014 and ranked 20th in the ranking compiled by Ziarul Financiar. Among the top 50 companies in respect with their turnover there are also: OMV Petrom Gas (-5%), Hidroelectrica (-7%), Tinmar Oil SA (+24%), Transelectrica (+ 6%) and CE Oltenia (+ 5% ).
According to Ziarul Financiar, the top 300 companies in Romania had a cumulated turnover of 440 bln. lei (100 bln. euro) last year, up by 4% compared to 2014. This value represents a third of the total turnover of the local companies (1.222 bln. lei in 2015), and the growth of the large companies is in line with the overall business growth last year.
