2.536 companies registered for the ElectricUp program

2.536 companies joined the governmental program ElectricUp in the first application session that ended on February 3, 2021. ElectricUp is a funding program for small and medium-sized enterprises and those in the HORECA business, launched on 4 December 2020 to support the installation of photovoltaic panel systems as well as recharging stations for electric and hybrid plug-in vehicles.

702 registration came from HORECA firms, while the rest – 1.834 (72,3%) are small and medium-sized enterprises. Cluj county is represented by 150 applicants (almost 6%), followed by Ilfov, with 135, Bihor (134), Argeș (126) and Constanța (100). Bucharest ranks the 6th, with only 98 files submitted in the ElectricUp program. In Caraș-Severin, Brăila and Covasna the interest was the lowest, with less than 20 applications submitted in each county.

Apart from Bucharest, the localities with most interested firms are Cluj-Napoca (65 files filed), Oradea (57) and Arad (39), followed by Constanța, Brașov, Satu Mare and Timișoara. From Iași, only 28 companies have registered in ElectricUp up to now.

The day with the most files submitted was Wednesday, February the 3rd. 967, or 38% of applicants expressed interest on the last day of the session. 661 registered on February 2nd (26%), 280 (11%) the previous day and 199 (7,8%) on January 29.

The analysis and evaluation phase follows, in accordance with the provisions of the funding guide. At this stage, the applicants will be requested to provide, as appropriate, clarification and completion on the documents submitted, as well as technical information on the implementation of the project for which funding is requested, in accordance to a presentation template to be published on the website of the Ministry of Energy.
