French company Ecosun Expert injected up to 5 million euros into a new photovoltaic park of 2.5 MW in Podu Olt, Brașov – its first investment of its kind in Romania. The company plans to continue local investments with a similar project.
The current park is bult on a 5.7 hectares area and comprises 9,792 solar modules supplied by French producer Voltec Solar.
The annual output of the park is of about 3.3GWh of electricity, enough for powering up to 3,000 households.
The average investment for a solar park is of about 1-2 million euro per MW built.
Up to now Romania counts about 410 MW worth of solar projects.
