Iran received on Tuesday, February 7th, the last batch of 149 tonnes of concentrated uranium provided by Russia, according to the nuclear agreement with the large powers, which will be added to the reserves of the country, according to the statements made on Monday by Ali Akbar Salehi, Director of the Iranian Organisation for Atomic Energy (OIEA), according to AFP.

The OIEA director claims that from the entry into force of the nuclear agreement with the large powers, in January 2016, Iran imported 210 tonnes of concentrated uranium and sent abroad in exchange 3.5% enriched uranium, as stipulated by the agreement.

Iran had also concluded a nuclear agreement in July 2015, with the (5 + 1) group countries, which includes the US, France, Great Britain, China, Russia and Germany, ending a crisis which lasted for years.

But, at the moment of signing the agreement, Tehran has agreed to limit its nuclear program, including the stock of low-enriched uranium at 300 kg, over a period of about 10 years in exchange for lifting a part of the international sanctions, according to the quoted source.
