The National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) announced the successful launch of the auctions from the centralized platform of the Universal Service (PCSU) for the IV quarter, where suppliers buy energy for the household consumers who have not chosen to change their default supplier. For three traded products, with a cumulated volume of 833 MWh/h, the prices established following the auctions were between 230 and 267 lei MWh, levels with 33% to 46% higher than those established a year ago year.
The PCSU auctions are the first to be held after the third quarter auction was suspended, given that the buyer’s offers – FUI – did not find a counterpart. As a result, ANRE decided to modify the tender conditions as well as the regulated pricing methodology for the consumers in the universal service.
