E.ON presented at the Techsylvania, the largest event dedicated to technology and innovation in Eastern Europe, that took place in Cluj-Napoca, the E.ON Drive concept, consisting of packages of equipment for e-cars charging and services for the specific needs of the Romanian e-mobility market.

“The launch of this innovative and sustainable product, part of the new E.ON Drive concept, is an important step for E.ON and is part of the company’s strategy to deliver new and innovative solutions outside the core business – utilities. The path to innovation continues with the development and launch of other smart, environmentally friendly solutions tailored to the needs of our customers”, said Andreea Ioniţă-Cirebea, Director of Strategy, Markets and Digitalization of E.ON Romania.

Thus, E.ON is taking yet another step forward in developing from its traditional status as a utility provider, in a context dominated by the more frequent use of renewable sources, smart grids, technology and digitization.

Mobile Myline, released last year, was downloaded over 100,000 times in just a few months. E.ON Myline, the platform with approximately 540,000 active accounts, has become one of the most visited self-care portals of a Romanian energy provider, according to the company.

For the first time in Romania, approaches for connection to the natural gas and electricity grids in the area managed by the company were brought to the online environment. The E.ON Group has been present in Romania since 2005 and operates through its companies a natural gas distribution network with a length of more than 22,000 km and a power distribution network of over 81,000 km. Since entering the local market, E.ON has invested about 1.5 billion euros mainly for the modernization of the gas and electricity networks.
