Romgaz has offered 1 million lei to Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital – SCJU Sibiu for buying performing medical equipment and for supporting medical activity. The amount adds to the 1.78 million lei offered by Romgaz to SCJU Sibiu in 2016 and 2017.

“Such actions that the company undertakes are aimed at increasing the quality of community life,” said Romgaz general manager Adrian Volintiru. “That’s why we decided to support the medical sector along with education, culture and sports. It is the way in which Romgaz assumes its social responsibility to the community in which it operates, to its members.”

In 2019, Romgaz will sponsor the cardiology and intensive care departments for the acquisition of high performance equipment, including a multidisciplinary stationary ultrasound equipment that will increase the possibilities of the research laboratory for cardiac and vascular pathology. The first beneficiaries will be patients with acute myocardial infarction or peripheral vascular emergencies for which stent implants are needed.

2019 is the third consecutive year when Romgaz grants sponsorships for SCJU Sibiu after granting 500,000 lei for the purchase of performant equipment for the Ophthalmology Section and 300,000 lei for CVASIC activity, in 2017, and 980,000 lei for endowing the hospital with 4 high-performance 4 modern ultrasounds equipment and an advanced digital radiography system, in 2016.
