In Romania there is only one MW of storage installed, at a wind power plant in Cobadin, says Cristian Secoșan, Siemens CEO for Romania and Moldova.
“Over the last few weeks, we’ve been talking with distribution and production companies on storage, which can be applied about almost anywhere. We talked almost to everyone. In fact, the interest is unlimited: transport, distribution, buildings… We want to increase awareness in this area,” Secoșan said.
Siemens’ turnover in Romania increased by 22% in 2018 to more than 1 billion lei. The company has about 2,200 employees in Romania.
