Romania’s oil imports were 59.4 million barrels, or 71% of the consumption needs of the three refineries Petromidia, Petrobrazi and Petrotel in 2018, according to the European Commission’s statistical data.
The total value of crude oil imports amounted to USD 4.1 billion (CIF) in 2018. The average price Romania imported crude oil last year was of USD 70.3, according to e-nergia.ro.
The largest quantities were imported from Russia, of USD 1.67 billion and Kazakhstan – 1.46 billion, at the lowest prices – of USD 70.51/barrel and USD 68.6/bbl.
