The Energy Complex Oltenia received the syndicated loan of 500 million lei for the payment of the emission certificates, said Sorin Boza, president of the company’s management.

„The funding applications have been sent and the funds have been accessed since Monday morning. The credit was taken only for the acquisition of emission certificates, it was the only solution to be able to pay these certificates,” Boza said, quoted by Agerpres.

EC Oltenia is obliged to buy the certificates for last year until May.

The company has to pay 1.4 billion lei for last year’s certificates, which means 40% of the turnover. So far, it has bought certificates worth 900 million lei from its own funds, says Boza.
