Timisoara: Electroputere VFU Pascani, Turkish firm Bozankaya and Polish Pesa filed offers for trams with batteries

Timisoara City Hall received three offers at the auction for the purchase of 40 autonomous trams. These come from Electroputere VFU Pascani, from Bozankaya of Turkey and Pesa of Poland, according to economica.net.

Timisoara City Hall wants to buy 16 articulated trams, the value of the contract being estimated at 184.9 million lei (40 million euros) without VAT, or about 2.5 million euros piece.

On the basis of the contract for the 16 trams, Timisoara City Hall can purchase 24 additional trams, in which case the value of the purchase increases to 462.25 million lei (98 million euros).
