Local heating companies will no longer have the right to interrupt the supply, nor will they have the financial resources to deliver hot water and heat, a situation that is usually owed to non-payment.
The provision appears in a draft GEO regarding the continuation of the investment program in centralized distribution systems, between 2019-2027 and which amends the Community Public Utilities Act no. 51/2006, according to e-nergia.ro.
Thus, the act abrogates the possibility for the local heating companies to suspend or limit the supply or provision of services to the users. At the same time, the text provides for a ban on stopping the supply of a heating agent in the event of non-payment, until a final court decision is reached.
