MOL Romania and the Partnership Foundation have endowed the County Emergency Hospital in Miercurea Ciuc with several medical equipment and devices. Hospital departments have already begun to use donated equipment worth 270,000 euros (1,250,000 lei).
“We have realized even more the importance of this project when the medical equipment was put into operation and the doctors and patients of the hospital started to benefit from their use. The physical and mental comfort of patients who know that they are receiving treatment under the best conditions matter a lot in the healing process. Last but not least, it is important for doctors to know that they have the best technology to help people who need them. And we, in turn, are glad to know that we can contribute to this approach,” said Camelia Ene, CEO & Country Chairman of MOL Romania.
The equipment donated by MOL Romania includes a state-of-the-art ultrasound that has already been put into use in the pediatric department. The need to have such a device within the Hospital is reflected by the intense pace of use – at least once per hour. The radiant and resuscitation mass put into operation in the neonatology department plays an important role in saving lives, where necessary, allowing physicians to perform safe resuscitation immediately after childbirth.
Modern blue light source phototherapy lamps, received in donation, are much more effective in treating neonatal jaundice, significantly reducing the duration of treatment that almost every second baby needs.
