We can not talk about the construction of reactors 3 and 4 in the absence of the CfDs, because at the current energy price there is no business potential for this investment, said Adrian Dumitriu, CFO of Nuclearelectrica, the operator of the Cernavoda nuclear power plants.
“Announcement of the CfD mechanism (contracts for difference) is a clear sign that steps are being taken to continue to support clean energies. I look forward to seeing the CfD legislation in place. We need a consensus of the entire political class and society that we need clean energy and we all need to make an effort,” said Adrian Dumitriu, according to Newsenergy.ro.
“We are going to actually start signing the acts for the legal entity in the near future. (…) We can not speak of Units 3 and 4 until we have a concrete CfD scheme implemented,” he added.
