The consortia formed by Voith Hydro, Romelectro, Gulsan-Zhefu and GE-Elecnor are the main rivals for obtaining the 82 million euro contract for the refurbishment of the Vidraru hydroelectric plant.
The tenders were opened on Monday, July 29, and the procedure takes place through competitive negotiation.
“This is a refurbishment with a high technical complexity of a strategic objective in the Hidroelectrica portfolio. We want to select the best solutions and implement the most modern technologies for AHE Vidraru. We will not give up on any of the quality requirements of the works. The reason why we opted for the acquisition through competitive negotiation is that the procedure is a flexible one and that allows our company to obtain the most advantageous technical solutions. The financing of the works will be done from the company’s own sources and we want, in exchange for the amounts we are willing to spend, to obtain a new life cycle – for at least 30 years, for Vidraru,” said Bogdan Badea, the president of the Hidroelectrica directorate.
The procedure for selecting the supplier of the refurbishment works of AHE Vidraru is resumed for the third time, the previous purchases being canceled as a result of the presentation of some technically non-compliant tenders.
