The National Transgaz Mediaş National Gas Transport Company reported a net profit of 224.6 million lei in the first nine months of the year, down 25% compared to the similar period of 2018, according to data submitted Thursday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. In contrast, in the third quarter of this year, the net profit of Transgaz registered an increase of 48%, compared to the same period of last year, totaling 29.188 million lei, according to Agerpres.

The revenues from the balancing activity increased by 132.092 million lei, to 250.93 million lei, those from the construction activity were higher by 411.914 million lei, reaching 521.459 million lei, and the financial revenues had a positive influence of 4.962 million lei due to the increase of the income from exchange rate differences, to 41.522 million lei.

The operating expenses before balancing and the construction activity according to IFRIC12 increase by 11% compared to 9 months 2018, their level being 85.905 million lei higher and reaching 840.997 million lei.

The financial expenses, of 250.930 million lei, registered an increase of 2.733 million lei mainly due to the increase of the expenses due to exchange rate differences.
