The Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, Virgil Popescu, sent the Control Body to the Hunedoara Energy Complex and the Mintia Power Plant on Monday, to verify the coal supply, how the procurement procedures were respected, but also the reasons some of the employees did not receive their salaries on time.
“There are several aspects on which I have suspicions and which I wish to be fully elucidated, which are particularly important for the good functioning of the economy and the national energy system. I want a wide verification regarding the situation of electricity production, with the supply of coal and In relation to the existing stocks, especially since we entered the cold season fully. At the same time, I want to see how the rules regarding the organization and functioning of the two entities were respected, how the procurement procedures were respected and what is the degree of achievement of approved investments,” said the Economy Minister, Virgil-Daniel Popescu.
At the same time, Popescu announced that he wants to find out why some of the employees did not receive their salaries on time, according to Agerpres. “I am very interested to find out why the management of the Hunedoara Energy Complex has failed to manage the payment of salaries as normal. I want to send a strong message to the employees of the CEH: they must know that they will have no problems with the payment of salaries, and the causes that led to this unfortunate and regrettable incident must be remedied, so that situations like this are avoided throughout the industry,” said the Economy Minister.
