The coal stocks of the Hunedoara Energy Complex (CEH) amount to about 16,660 tonnes, of which 11,459 tonnes are located at the Mintia Power Plant, so that the problem of stopping energy groups from lack of fuel is not real, said in Petrosani on Thursday the director of the company, Samuel Dioane.
He mentioned that the power plant operates, as of Thursday, with both boilers of the energy group number 3, which will bring greater financial benefits to the company through the electricity delivered to the energy system. “Wednesday we managed to take two trains (with coal – e.n.). The trains are late. It’s winter. Every day we produce 2,200 – 2,300 tons of coal. From today (Thursday – e.n.) we operate with group 3, which brings us and a greater financial benefit. It is not a question of stopping,” the general manager of the CEH, quoted by Agerpres, said at a press conference.
CEH is in insolvency proceedings after the court in Hunedoara admitted, on November 14, 2019, the request made in this regard by 20 creditors of the company, between them being the General Directorate of Large Taxpayers Administration and the National Company of Mine Closures Jiu Valley.
The value of the debts accumulated by the Complex is estimated at about 5 billion lei.
