The German company e-trofit replaces about 30-40 Diesel propulsion systems in European buses with electric motors annually and aims to conclude contracts with the municipalities in Romania, said at the conference of the AHK Delegation for Urban Mobility in Bucharest, Robert Reisenauer, sales director of the company.
“We offer this solution to switch to electric propulsion. The rear axle of the bus is replaced by two 125 kW motors. We are working with Voltabox, which supplies the lithium-ion batteries, which are adapted to the requirements of the municipality, starting from a minimum range of 2-300 km,” said Reisenauer.
At the same time, Voltabox, a German company with 180 employees, has supplied over 900 buses and other vehicles for passenger and freight with lithium-ion accumulator systems of various sizes, to date, said Michael Bories, the sales director of the company.
