The Competition Council authorized the transaction by which Hammerer Aluminum Industries Holding Gmbh from Austria takes over the local company Hydro Extrusion SRL.

Hammerer Aluminum Industries Holding GmbH, Austria, a member of the Hammerer Aluminum Industries Group, is active in the field of aluminum processing for various uses, such as: system engineering, automotive industry, construction or electrical applications. Hammerer Aluminum Industries Holding, Austria, is active in both Europe and Asia and the US.

In Romania, the company Hammerer Aluminum Industries Holding Gmbh is present through two subsidiaries, namely Hammerer Aluminum Industries Santana, active in the field of aluminum processing and Hammerer Aluminum Industries Romania, active in the real estate field.

Hydro Extrusion owns a production unit in the field of aluminum processing.

Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts about its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
