The Mintia power plant, part of the Hunedoara Energy Complex (CEH), is facing a personnel crisis that could lead, in the future, to the cessation of activity, if the current management of the electricity producer will not take the necessary measures to fill the deficit of employees, Solidaritatea Trade Union of Hunedoara, quoted by Agerpres, said on Wednesday.
According to the representatives of the Hunedoara Solidaritatea union, the decision-makers from the management of the power plant are the main culprits for not ensuring and completing the short, medium and long term personnel requirements. This is why the trade unions demand the urgent appointment of a “competent leadership”.
“In addition to the fact that the Mintia power plant could not operate this winter at full capacity due to the lack of coal stocks, which has led to a much lower income than possible, it now risks stopping its work due to lack of personnel, while officials are not held accountable,” is mentioned in a note of the union, according to Cotidianul.ro.
According to the union leader Cristian Iştoc, the main reason that led to the reduction of staff is related to the massive retirements of the last period, in parallel with the blocking of the employment, although needed in several sectors of activity.
