National Federation of Energy Mines, a trade union federation representing the activity from sectors „Energy, oil and gas and energy mining“ and „Extractive industry“, sent an open letter to the Government of Romania asking to stop the import of electricity from non-EU countries, according to financialintelligence.ro.
“Mines Energy National Federation, a representative union federation in the sectors of activity ‘Energy, oil and gas and energy mining’ and ‘Extractive industry’, which represents the employees› interests in the Oltenia Energy Complex Company, Hunedoara Energy Complex Company, Nuclearroserv Company, Nuclear Electric Company, The National Uranium Company, the National Salt Company, the CUPRU MIN Abrud company, considering the establishment of the state of emergency under the provisions of art.93 paragraph (1), of art.100 of the Romanian Constitution, asks you to take all necessary measures to stop the import of electricity from non-EU countries, countries that do not have the obligation to pay CO2 certificates, so that the energy required for domestic consumption is produced by the Romanian production capacities, in order to protect the jobs of the employees on whom we represent,” is shown in the open letter sent by the Federation to the Prime Minister of Romania.
