New motorcycle registrations increased in Romania by 14.7% in the first three months of 2020, compared to the same period last year, most units being purchased in the Bucharest – Ilfov region, according to data from the Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Cars (APIA), published on Thursday.
According to statistics, which is based on information aggregated by the Directorate of Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration (DRPCIV), 366 motorcycles were sold in the first quarter of the year, compared to 319 units reported in the first three months of 2019.
At the end of last year, the registrations of new motorcycles in Romania posted a jump of 43.2% compared to the 2018 data.
Regarding the situation of the ten most purchased brands in the analyzed period, the top is led by BMW – with 70 units, followed by Honda (57) and Yamaha (55), according to Agerpres.
