The gas power plant in Brazi produced 1.12 TWh of electricity in the first quarter of the year, a slight increase (3%) compared to the production in the first quarter of last year (1.08 TWh), according to the company’s data for the first three months of 2020.
“According to the data currently available from the system operator, the national electricity demand decreased by 3% compared to the same quarter of 2019, while the national electricity production decreased by 4%; thus Romania was a net importer of electricity in Q1 2020, as well as in Q1 2019. The Brazi power plant generated a net electricity production slightly higher than in Q1 2019, of 1.11 TWh (Q1 2019: 1.08 TWh),” it is shown in the company’s report, quoted by e-nergia.ro.
Petrom estimates an increasing annual production, given that the Brazi Power Plant is no longer required to supply electricity to the regulated market in 2020.
