TeraSteel, part of the TeraPlast Group, the largest Romanian manufacturer of construction materials, has become the market leader in thermal insulation panels, according to the study conducted by Neomar Consulting, in 2019, in Romania.
The study conducted during January-December 2019 estimates the value of the thermal insulation panels market at 130 million euros, increasing by 9% compared to 2018, as a result of the advance taken by the industrial construction sector. Quantitatively, the thermal insulation panels market in Romania exceeded 8 million square meters in 2019, with an advance of over 13% compared to 2018.
TeraSteel occupies the first position in the thermal insulation panels market in the country, with a market share of 20.9%. The first 3 players in the market add up to a market share of 50% in value and about 55% in quantity.

Last year, TeraSteel Romania and Serbia recorded the best profit margin among the Group’s companies. The turnover of TeraSteel Romania and Serbia increased by 18% in 2019, to 308.8 million lei, while EBITDA registered an increase of 42% compared to 2018, to 37.6 million lei.
