New non-reimbursable funds will be available for companies: hotels will be able to access money from the state to install solar panels for renewable energy production, as well as charging stations for electric cars, as grants of 30,000 euro are to be awarded.
“We have 100 million euro from the Environmental Fund for CO2 reduction and another 100 million euro – the money we took from the Energy Regulatory Agency, about 500 plus million lei – which will also lead to the reduction of CO2 emissions, towards SMEs, tourism, the installation of solar panels and networks for charging electric cars,” said the Minister of Economy, Virgil Popescu, in an interview for HotNews.ro.
The hotels will thus be able to receive grants of 30,000 euro each, 100% non-refundable.
“The hotels will have a dedicated line to be able to install solar panels and car charging stations. It will be automatic. A grant of 30,000 euros, 100% non-refundable. It also reduces the cost of utilities, they also have the possibility of advertising, as a hotel, being in the European database of charging stations,” Popescu added.
