Hungary is the first country where Dacia dealers accept the registration and payment in advance for Dacia Spring, b. In Hungary, the first 100 units that have already been sold are priced at 6.49 million forints or 17,700 euros, and the payment for a reservation is about 274 euros.
Most likely, also in Romania, due to the bonus of 10,000 euros or at most 50% of the value of the car, Dacia Spring will come with a price of 7-8,000 euros.
According to zf.ro, Hungary is the first country where Renault communicated the official price of the car, with a price range in line with previous estimates – 15,000-20,000 euros.
Dacia Spring is built on the electric Renault City K-ZE model, launched on the Chinese market last year. Produced by eGT New Energy Automotive, the model is the result of a joint venture owned by Nissan and Dongfeng. The same company will initially produce Dacia Spring.
The electric car segment was the only one to grow in 2020, a year in which the pandemic slashed at least 30% from the car market. In the first half of the year, about 220,000 electric cars were delivered in the European Union, up 22% compared to the same period in 2019. In Romania, electric and hybrid cars reached a record market share in September – 7.7%, after 827 units were registered. According to automarket.ro, in the first nine months of the year, the market share for electric and hybrid cars was 6.4%.
