CEZ Group in Romania and Asociația Povestașii are launching a new edition of the “School full of energy” project, an initiative that will bring together the smallest representatives of the #CEZGreenGeneration community for a common goal. For 6 months, over 150 children will participate in 10 interactive workshops and discover what respect for the environment means.

“In a different way, we will promote a responsible behavior towards nature and energy resources among children in schools in Curtea de Argeș, Slatina and Craiova. In the workshops, participants will learn what energy efficiency means, how they can develop responsible behavior regarding natural resources, what are the effects of climate change and what are the benefits of green energy. The theoretical basis was prepared with the support of the Storytellers team, in collaboration with a volunteer of the CEZ Group in Romania,” CEZ officials said.

Children will have the opportunity to train their imagination and skills in a practical activity: a workshop to craft kaleidoscopes from recycled paper supported by Veronica Soare. The activities will be coordinated by Maria Coman – television journalist, who will be accompanied by Dr. Simona Carniciu – Specialist in diabetes and nutrition diseases, who will address issues related to food waste. The conduct of each workshop will be done in compliance with all safety rules imposed by the current context.

“It is important to learn to make friends with nature, to respect it and to protect it, from an early age. And the school is an essential environment in promoting these values. We are confident that today’s and tomorrow’s generations will remain concerned about the resources of the future,” said Ondrej Safar, CEO of CEZ Romania.
