OMV Petrom launched the first modernized fuel station in the Petrom network, within an extensive program to modernize the entire network. This includes a fast supply lane with the possibility of paying with the card at the pump.
OMV Petrom and Auchan Retail Romania have started the integration of MyAuchan convenience stores in Petrom filling stations. The two companies will invest over 50 million euro for the modernization of the approximately 400 Petrom filling stations.
In the period 2021 – 2024, approximately 400 filling stations in the Petrom network located in rural and urban areas of the country will be redeveloped both inside and out.
„The Petrom filling station modernization program demonstrates our strong commitment to make long-term investments in Romania and to offer uninterrupted energy and quality services to Romanian consumers. During this difficult period, private investments have a significant role for economic recovery,” said Christina Verchere, CEO of OMV Petrom.
Outside Petrom stations, the current visual identity elements will be replaced and modernization works will be carried out in the area of pumps and adjacent services (car wash, LPG supply). In addition, there will be five pilot stations where card and mobile phone payment solutions will be added to the pump and fast lanes will be set for refueling.
