About 479 consumers called the call center of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) on Thursday, on the first day when this service became operational, the institution’s representatives told Agerpres.
The main questions of the people were related to the price of energy from January 1, if they do not move into the competitive market.
Also, some consumers asked how to use the price comparator on the ANRE website, and others reported that suppliers find it difficult to respond to competitive bid requests.
Most of the callers were elderly people, the oldest being 89 years old.
For now, those who answer the phone are ANRE experts, but the institution is preparing to outsource this service.
The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) launched yesterday a call center to help consumers interested in liberalizing the electricity market.
