MOL Romania and the Foundation for Community financially support 36 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to obtain a category B or C driving license, within the sixth edition of the Permit for the Future program. The funded projects were selected from the 340 entered in the competition between November 26, 2020 – January 23, 2021. The list of beneficiaries was published by the Foundation for Community and MOL Romania.
The beneficiaries were selected from the 340 young people who signed up for this edition. The 36 winners will benefit from funding totaling 75,000 lei.
“The Permit for the Future program is aimed at young people who want to obtain a driving license, but do not have the necessary financial resources for this purpose. In particular, those young people who could find a job or who could receive extended job duties once they have obtained their driving license are eligible. Throughout the six editions of this program, we met young people whose stories gave us real life lessons. For us, it is a joy and an honor to know them and to be with them. As I have said repeatedly, MOL is the devoted partner of the communities. We aim to continue to stay with those who need us and we are glad to see that, from year to year, the number of those who want to enroll in this program is increasing,” said Camelia Ene, CEO & Country Chairman of MOL Romania.
The beneficiaries of this edition of the Permitted for the Future program come from 22 counties.
“Many young people have expressed interest in this possibility after the end of the registration period. We tell those, as well as to those who have not yet obtained funding, and to those who have successfully completed driving school and want to obtain a driving license for another category, that we will announce a new edition of this project competition – the edition of 7th – at the end of November. They can prepare in advance for registration based on the information on the Foundation for Community website. They can also contact us directly. With those who obtained funding for the current edition, in the next period we will conclude the contracts and transfer the amounts for the adjacent expenses, to cover the costs of enrolling in the driving school and further for the tuition fee,” said András Imre, executive director of the Foundation for Community.
