E.ON Energie Romania supports again this year Electric Castle, a special edition, EC Back to life 2021, being already prepared for the 10 days of the festival surprises and exciting and sustainable activities for an unforgettable experience.
The festival will take place between August 6-8 at Bánffy Castle in Bonțida, respectively, on August 9-15 in Cluj.
“Although the festivals promote an ecological attitude and over time resources have been invested to limit the carbon footprint produced, the large number of visitors has effects on this indicator. But it is in our power to contribute, every day, to the protection of the environment with a sustainable behavior, the care for the environment expressed through small gestures having a great impact on nature-our bigger house,” say the company’s officials.
”Therefore, in this year’s edition, E.ON will launch the guide Responsible electric consumption!, through which participants are taught how to reduce the carbon footprint through sustainable consumption behavior. So there are some tips to change our attitude to the festival and we want to carry on the habit in everyday life. Given that, for example, less than 1% of global plastic cups are recycled or almost 75% of CO2 emissions from transport are caused by car travel, the advice in this guide is very simple and easy to understand and followed: reuse the glass when you get something to drink, use a scooter to move between the scenes of Electric Castle or choose the right container before throwing a bottle,” they add.
”Moreover, E.ON encourages a sustainable lifestyle through a series of activities in Bonțida, in the lake area near the castle, and in Cluj Napoca will be presented Future Energy Home, an area of experiences where visitors will discover solutions sustainable energy for the home, solutions with low impact on the environment. At the same time, we propose to all visitors the challenge to participate in the speed competition with static bikes, E.ON Sprints, with the prize of a personalized E.ON electric bike.
