BMW Romania, through the APAN Iași dealer, registered the first order for a fleet of i4 electric cars with a value of over 250,000 euros, zf.ro announces. The order was registered almost half a year before the launch of the new BMW i4. “We can add several dozen firm orders that confirm the success of the BMW i4 in Romania as well,” said Josef Reiter, CEO of BMW Group Romania.
The new BMW i4 has a starting price in Romania of 52,955 euros, with VAT included and without including the government programs Rabla or Rabla Plus. BMW pointed out that orders have already been registered for the iX electric SUV, and the production allocated for the next months is already allocated.
“We estimate that by the end of the year approximately 20% of BMW sales and 30% of MINI sales in Romania will already be electrified, electric and plug-in models,” Josef Reiter said, according to zf.ro.
Sales of electric and hybrid cars almost doubled in the first eight months of this year, to over 9,000 units, according to data centralized by the Romanian Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Importers (APIA).
