GreenTAGS, a new company specialized in innovative green energy capture solutions for heating and cooling buildings, is launching today on the Romanian market. The aim of GreenTAGS is to provide sustainable technical solutions for exploiting the potential for green energy generation through building foundations and other structures that are in direct contact with the ground for heating and cooling buildings.
GreenTAGS is an Expert Project initiative, a technical expertise and design company specializing in civil engineering and geotechnical engineering. The GreenTAGS project, which proposes innovative technologies for the use of renewable energy sources, has been launched to complete the portfolio of services offered by Expert Proiect. The entire GreenTAGS concept was developed by Iulia Prodan, lecturer at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, specialist in Geotechnical Engineering.
“GreenTAGS is a soul project, born of Expert Project and is also a perfect translation from research to implementation of innovative technologies that come to meet and contribute in an intelligent way to the current challenges of urban transformation in the context of the need to use renewable energy resources and reducing urban CO2 emissions. GreenTAGS is also a passion, a desire for continuous development to face and actively contribute to the challenges posed by changes in direction and development at the environmental, societal and planetary levels,” explained Iulia Prodan, CEO of GreenTAGS.
Geoenergetic structures are an innovative and sustainable solution for heating and cooling new buildings. GreenTAGS solutions provide an opportunity to harness green energy that would otherwise be lost. The concept behind this technology is to use reinforced concrete elements that interact with the ground and are necessary for reasons of strength and stability (foundations, piles, excavation support systems, slope and slope support systems, etc.) and their transformation into caloric vectors, while the earth is the primary source of energy.
GreenTAGS technical solutions are an innovative part of geothermal energy solutions. They involve much lower implementation costs compared to conventional geothermal systems, while providing a local source of heat without fluctuations in operating costs.
“So far, we have carried out several projects in different stages of implementation, from opportunity and feasibility studies, advanced design and optimization to the actual implementation and monitoring. We have applied our solutions both to public institutions, such as the new Ambulatory Corps of the Oradea Emergency Hospital, and to residential and office buildings. We want our solutions to be known so that we can implement them on a large scale, at national level and to contribute to the creation of a sustainable built environment where quality of life, comfort and cost optimization are the new normal,” added Iulia Prodan, CEO of GreenTAGS.
The GreenTAGS team currently consists of six engineers with specific of national and international studies as well as experience in the field of geotechnical engineering and geoenergetic structures. They have already carried out various projects, both in public institutions and in the private sector, and in the future they want to develop as leaders on the Romanian market in terms of offering sustainable solutions for capturing green energy for new constructions.
