In Romania, over 90% of SMEs face problems related to software architectures and over 80% of European companies report problems in this spectrum, said Mihai Dârzan, CEO of Ringhel, at the DigitALL 2022 conference organized by Energynomics.

“Digitalization is built on software, and software is written by people. The reality is, however, that only three out of 1,000 people are able to write software worldwide, which is very little. In this context, there are more than one million jobs open in Europe and the United States on topics related to software writing. In Romania, over 90% of small and medium-sized companies are behind with digitalization, precisely for this reason and over 80% of companies report problems in this spectrum”, said Mihai Dârzan.

“It is estimated that the current software needs, given the developers resources available today, will be covered only in 50 years. In the past, until 2020, the increase in annual demand for software was about 20%. Starting in 2020 and continuing in 2021, the increase in demand was 40% compared to previous years. Extrapolating this with the number of developers, which is not growing at the same rate, I would even say that the current needs will be covered, given the current way of working, not in 50, but in 70 years. It is a phenomenal gap”, Mihai Dârzan also said.

The answer is software created to do automation, because “this way you get better results, faster and at a fair price.”

“We created Procesio, an integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), that allows you to create software in a visual way, coding or building configurations without writing code at all. We are aware that the needs of companies will not be limited to configuring and drag and drop. At the same time, there are not enough developers to code. So we’ve created a collaborative environment where both developers and business analysts, as well as technicians who understand how systems work, can get involved in automating business processes using our technology.”

The Procesio team has a very strong background in the field of energy, but the technology it proposes is agnostic, in the sense that it can be applied in any industry. Specifically, Procesio allows “to integrate applications, to automate work processes, to process data, to extend the functionality of existing software”, explained Mihai Dârzan.

DigitALL 2022 was organized by Energynomics, in partnership with reputed organizations such as CIO Council and BusinessMark, with the support of our partners: ACE – Industrial Software Solutions, Eaton Electric, Nova Power & Gas, Procesio, SAS Romania, Safetech Innovations, Siemens România.
