ENGIE Romania offers decentralized generation solutions and energy efficiency solutions for Romanian customers, said Alin Nicolae, Head of Energy Efficiency and Green Solutions, ENGIE Romania, at the conference „Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Brașov 2022”, organized by Energynomics.
“The three pillars that help us operate are a harmonious, organic development, an ambition that leads us to an environmentally neutral economy and decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization solutions,” he said, presenting some of the company’s solutions.
“We have the ambition to increase the production of electricity with low CO2 emissions. In addition to the developed or purchased wind and solar parks, we plan to develop new photovoltaic capacities to help us in what we call off-site PPA. Among the business models for decentralized solutions offered to customers, we include financing projects in their yard or on their buildings, case when we talk about PPA or operational leasing solutions and heat supply solutions. There is also the option of turnkey solutions, financed also through non-reimbursable funds, with package consultancy, or with the option of installments, financed by ENGIE”, he added. Alin Nicolae presented a case study with a photovoltaic project of 2 MWp, on the roof, realized in Brașov, but also a heat supply solution to nZEB standards in the Bucharest-Ilfov area.
“For an industrial customer in Timisoara, we are developing a trigeneration solution, a combination of a cogeneration engine with an absorber that provides the heating-cooling solution and electricity,” he added.
ENGIE also have a solid portfolio in the decarbonization area, including a project in Brașov, where ENGIE’s headquarters in the city is the place of verification of a second larger pilot project, on an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) system that reduces consumption by about 20% and CO2 emissions by 70%, providing only green energy through dedicated contracts, Nicolae added.
The conference „Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Brașov 2022” was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners ABB România, Enel X, ENGIE România, Flash Lighting Services, Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe, Valmont.
