REI, a company specializing in carrying out European-funded projects, has recently prepared files totaling 27 million euros, and in February, a biscuit factory in Craiova was completed, a 36 million euro project, said Roxana Mircea, managing partner of REI Group, during the „Smart Cities – What we can do today” conference, organized by Energynomics.
“We are in the top 3 consulting companies in Romania, with nine regional offices and 60 dedicated consultants who do only large investment projects. We are currently preparing a lot of energy projects in the photovoltaic sector; we are nearing 1,000 projects”, she said.
Roxana Mircea presented some of REI’s successful projects. “We already have several cogeneration plants included in the Large Infrastructure program. Austrotherm has two projects with us, ETI has a factory under implementation, and Qfort has a 20 million euro project”. She anticipates an accelerated development of the building materials sector. “We believe that a lot of such factories will be developed in Romania,” she said.
“This year will be a year of many lines of financing. There are open axes totaling about 600 million euros for large factories and hotels to put solar panels on their roofs. The session is open until May 31, feasibility studies and applications need to be prepared urgently. NRRP was launched. The Regional Operational Programme (ROP) program will come in June. For digitalization, through the Ministry of Digitalization and Innovation, we will probably have 500 million euros dedicated to the private area, but we will see a lot of money for beneficiaries in the public sector. It will be a year with many sources of funding, my advice is to stay informed in advance and to choose carefully the partners you work with – consultants, architects, designers. It is also good to discuss with the bank”, said Roxana Mircea.

An important factor is that there are already a lot of deadlines to manage, both in relation to the regular European funds and to those available through NRRP.
