The budget for the “Rabla Plus” program allocated to legal entities has been exhausted in less than two hours from the start of the registration session that started on Friday, the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MMAP) announced on its official Facebook page.

“I am glad that Romanian companies encourage zero-emission transport and choose full-electric cars over classic ones. I am convinced that the exhaustion of the Rabla Plus budget dedicated to legal entities in one hour and 37 minutes is due on the one hand to the growing popularity of electric cars as means of transportation and, on the other hand, to the tendency to limit fuel consumption generated by rising fuel costs. Looking at the European perspective which stipulates that from 2035 no more cars with classic engines will be produced, I think that Romania is preparing well for what is to come. Rabla Plus not only comes with one of the largest financings in Europe, of about 10,000 euro for full electric cars, but also supports an environmental culture of transport in our country,” said the Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Barna Tanczos, according to Agerpres.

A new enrollment session in the “Rabla” and “Rabla Plus” programs started on Friday, the novelty being that, for the first time, both the public institutions and the administrative-territorial units (ATU) can apply.

According to the relevant ministry, the budgets for the Rabla Plus program in this session are as follows: 262 million lei – for individuals, 190.3 million lei – for legal entities, and 100 million lei for ATUs and public institutions.

People interested in purchasing a more environmentally friendly car can enroll in the program until May 31, 2022.

The “Rabla Clasic” and “Rabla Plus” programs this year were launched at the beginning of February, with a budget of 1.2 billion lei.
