The Ministry of Energy has extended the deadline for submitting projects for green hydrogen until the end of the current month, Minister Virgil Popescu announced on his Facebook page.
“We extended, by order, the period for submitting projects to obtain financing through the State aid scheme with the objective of supporting investments in building capacities for the production of green hydrogen in electrolysis plants. Investment measure I.2 – Renewable gas distribution infrastructure, as well as green hydrogen production capacities and/or its use for electricity storage – sub-measure 2.2 – Supporting investments in building capacities for green hydrogen production in facilities of electrolysis. The new deadline is August 31 at 5 pm,” the Facebook post says.
“Funds are allocated for investments in the construction of a new capacity of at least 100 MW in electrolysis facilities. The commissioning of a capacity of at least 100 MW in electrolysis facilities, with an estimated generated amount of at least 10,000 tons of renewable hydrogen per year must be achieved by the fourth quarter of 2025,” the Minister of Energy also states.
