Heat supply solutions in natural gas plants can be very well integrated in a mix with other sources, such as solar energy, wind and can be used in industry and in the residential sector, said Cristian Athanasovici, Business Development Manager, Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe, at the conference “Regional approach Budapest: Cooperation” organised by Energynomics.

„We are very concerned about having as emission-free air as possible, and our products and solutions are dedicated to the environment due to their efficiency. In addition to natural gas, we also use hydrogen in the first cogeneration plant in the world that uses this mix, in Kobe, commissioned in 2018”, he stated.

Many consider that hydrogen will be the main fuel of the future and the Japanese Kawasaki group is prepared to deliver the technology necessary for this objective.

Kawasaki established its Romanian office in Bucharest in 2018 and currently has 67 employees. The office is responsible for promotion & sales activities in South-East Europe. The Japanese group operates in the EU’s energy market on three pillars, decarbonization, decentralization of energy production, and digitalization.

In the fiscal year of 2022, the Kawasaki group recorded total sales of 1.48 trillion yen (11.6 billion euros).

“Things are complicated with solar energy because you don’t always need a lot of sun. Probably the climatic regime in Romania and Hungary is better than in Saudi Arabia”, Mutu-Kovács appreciated.
