The objectives of achieving neutrality from the perspective of CO2 emissions are not easy to achieve either in Romania or in any other country, but the ENGIE group is committed to reaching this level in 2045.
“ENGIE’s strategic objectives are to accelerate the investment process in the production of energy from renewable sources and we want to do this by 2045. It is not an easy objective to achieve neither in Romania nor elsewhere”, said Alin Nicolae, Head of Energy Efficiency and Green Solutions, ENGIE Romania, at the conference “Cogeneration for energy efficiency and renewables”, organized by Energynomics.
The ENGIE Group will accelerate investments in renewable energies and in the development of energy infrastructure with the aim of eliminating polluting emissions in all business sectors.
The company also aims for 58% of the total volume of energy it will produce in 2045 to come from renewable sources.

“We currently have five factories for which we are now charting this path of decarbonization. We are looking at the consumptions and the possibilities to optimize them and achieve the new production target of energy from renewable sources”, Nicolae added.
“The conference “Cogeneration for energy efficiency and renewables” was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners: Chimcomplex, Electro-Service RB, ENGIE Romania, Horváth, Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe GmbH.
