The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) verified and sent for settlement from the state budget, for energy suppliers, according to GEO 118/2021 and GEO 27/2022, an amount of over 10.8 billion lei, ANRE informs.

Thus, regarding GEO 118/2021 (November 2021 – March 2022), 80 companies submitted 345 applications, of which 288 were approved, 55 being considered ineligible. The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy for settlement is 2.412 billion lei, the total requested amount being 2.422 billion lei.

Based on GEO 27/2022 (April 2022 – March 2023), 89 companies submitted 908 applications, 253 applications for domestic customers and 402 for non-domestic customers being approved. A number of 13 applications for domestic customers were declared ineligible.

The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy, non-domestic customers, is 5.15 billion lei, and that sent to ANPIS, domestic customers is 3.25 billion lei, in total being sent for settlement an amount of almost 8.4 billion lei.

Currently, 240 applications submitted for settlement are being analyzed, they are in different stages of analysis, and as the operators upload the data and supporting documents requested by the assigned experts, their verification and determination will be carried out with maximum operativeness, stated Dumitru Chiriță, ANRE president.
