OMV Petrom will increase the level of investments in the next period to 6-7 billion lei anually. Thus, this year investments will increase by 70%, to 6 billion lei, company officials said.

OMV Petrom will make the final investment decision in Neptun Deep in the middle of this year, but it will clearly be a positive one.

“In the exploration and production segment we will invest 2.9 billion lei, which includes all activities – including Neptun Deep, for which we have planned approximately 600 million lei,” said Alina Popa, the company’s financial director.

“This investment growth trend will continue in 2024 and 2025, we are looking at somewhere around 7 billion lei, on average, for those years. We will start the biggest investment we have ever had, Neptun Deep, we will increase the investment level significantly,” added Alina Popa.

“We became an operator, we have an international team that works and makes great efforts. We also do everything we can to make the final investment decision. We are very confident that we will move forward,” company officials also said.
