The installation of photovoltaic plants in Romania started to comply with quality standards especially in the last half of the year, after, until the middle of 2022, many installations were built without taking these requirements into account.
“Our team in Romania has accumulated considerable know-how in the last year. If until six months ago installations were done without taking anything into account, in the last six months we can see a trend towards quality”, said Răzvan Encică, Managing Director at Phoenix Contact Romania, at the conference “More renewables for Romania”, organized by Energynomics.
Photovoltaic plant owners are becoming more and more interested in increasing plant efficiency and the technical solutions that can lead to such results. Encică stated that non-compliance with the standards in the installation of solar centers can cause or even damage the installations.
“Renewable energies are now the big energy star worldwide. There is nothing more spectacular than them and they will have to save the world. We must be responsible for what we install and follow quality standards. We shoulder the burden of a better future for us and our children,” he added.
The German group of which Phoenix Contact Romania is a part has more than 100 factories in 60 countries and has an annual business of 4 billion euros. The company has more than 20,000 employees and this year it celebrated its 100th anniversary.
The company’s strategy for the next decades is subsumed under the idea of All Electric Society and is based on three pillars, namely electrification, automation and the interconnection of all sectors of the economy.

“We believe that the future is electric, maybe not fully electric, maybe in combination with something else. At the same time, we are convinced that renewable energy must be the main source of energy globally, but it will have to be accessible to everyone, unlike what is currently happening”, Encică also said.
The conference “More renewables for Romania” was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners among which ABB, ACE Industrial Software, BCR, Consolight, Eaton Electric, Elektra Renewable Support, EnergoPower, European Energy, Finder, Geminox, Huawei, ING Bank, LAPP Romania, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Phoenix Contact, Photomate, Prime Batteries Technology, REI Grup, Renomia-Gallagher, Valmont, Volt, Wiren România, Wise Finance Solutions.
