Menlo Electric, in collaboration with selected partners, organizes free support projects for institutions involved in child welfare as part of the “Energy to power your future” program, which began in 2022. The first project of this type in Romania was implemented at the Piatra Neamț Residential Services Complex for Children and Youth with Disabilities.
In 2022, Menlo Electric delivered renewable energy solutions to more than 30 countries through 8 logistics hubs spread across Europe and Africa. Along with the growth of collaborations with its partners, Menlo Electric has been actively involved in the development of a social responsibility component, developing renewable energy projects at the European level with the goal of installing free photovoltaic systems for institutions that care for children. “In 2023 we started a large package of 17 such projects at the European level with the first installation of 33kW, outlined in the form of 75 Jinko photovoltaic panels and a 33kW Sungrow inverter at CSRCTD Piatra Neamț”, declared Sebastian Stoica, Head of Business Development Romania.
Such projects are useful through consistent cost reductions for the beneficiary and, equally reliable through the quality of the equipment provided, guaranteed by the manufacturers. The power of the installation covers over 50% of the electricity needed for the center in Piatra Neamț.
“It’s nice to have international companies with similar visions alongside us in these projects, and we thank our partners from Jinko and Sungrow in this way. Equally, our effort becomes a reality, in each such project, with the help of competent and involved local partners, and for this first project we benefited from the support offered by the Elsaco Group”, added Sebastian Stoica, Head of Business Development Romania, Menlo Electric.
The company is encouraged to support the implementation of energy efficiency solutions both in the commercial area and through social responsibility projects, thanks to the active involvement of its trusted partners.
“We are present in the local market to support our business partners and customers by ensuring the availability of high-quality photovoltaic equipment, such as the reliable 33 kW Sungrow inverter used for the Piatra Neamț project”, stated Bogdan Stan, Key Account Manager Sungrow Romania.
“We are glad that Menlo Electric chose us! As a result, the children and young people of the Complex of Residential Services for Children and Young People with Disabilities Piatra Neamţ can benefit from cutting-edge renewable energy technology. Menlo Electric fully supported this project, covering the initial costs of the photovoltaic installation and indirectly cutting electricity bills in half for the next 25 years”, said Marlena Panduru, Director General of DGASPC Neamț.
Together with the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation, Menlo Electric is implementing solar and storage installations for 10 schools and hospitals in Ukraine with a total capacity of 300 kW. The projects are intended to provide electricity for the critical needs of schools and hospital surgical and intensive care units through hybrid solar and storage systems.
The company is actively looking for partners and donors who can join the project. Are you interested to help? You can contact Corina Şerban, CSR Manager at this email address
