Eaton ended the year 2022 with a cumulative turnover for its three important branches of business in Romania – Eaton Electric, Cooper Industries and Eaton Electro Production – of 2,202,414,831 lei (over 440 million euros). The result is marking an increase of 18% compared to 2021.
The company recorded increases in turnover in all segments and ended 2022 with a total of 2,830 employees in Romania.
Eaton Electric is the entity that deals with the trading of Eaton equipment on the Romanian market, being involved in several important projects during the past year. The turnover achieved last year, of 156,132,949 lei, is 12% higher than that achieved in 2021. Also, at the end of last year, Eaton Electric had 63 employees.
The company supplies state-of-the-art Eaton equipment to the Commercial & Industrial, Residential, Datacenter & IT and machine tool construction industries. Among the significant projects in which Eaton Electric has been a partner are the development of data centers, with complete and integrated solutions for customers, the modernization of irrigation systems or the equipping of important public institutions with modern protection systems.

Cooper Industries is one of the 3 production units that Eaton owns in Romania, and last year it achieved a turnover of 444,688,141 lei, up 22% compared to the previous year, with a total of 391 employees.
Eaton Electro Production operates the two production units in Bușag and Sârbi, reporting for 2022 a turnover of 1,601,593,741, up by 18%, and a number of 2,376 employees.
In terms of investments, Eaton invested 32 million lei in the two production units in Maramureș, and the plans for the coming years aim to continue the development of the automation/digitalization process, in parallel with that of increasing production.
The 2023 budget foresees investments of approximately 22 million lei in the two units, with the objective of continuing this process in the medium and long term.
Also, investments worth almost 21 million lei were made in the production unit in Arad, which will benefit from another 16 million lei this year, for the continuation of digitization and automation processes.
