About 32% of Romanian households own at least one air conditioner, and 12% of Romanians are considering purchasing, in the next year, a home cooling solution from an energy supplier, reveals a study carried out by E.ON.
Most homes equipped with air conditioners are found in Bucharest (74%), and the fewest in Neamț County (5%). Most of the respondents who indicated that they intend to purchase an air conditioner in the next year are from the counties in the south of the country.
Sales of air conditioners will increase significantly in the coming years, according to IEA forecasts, against the background of severe climate change, and those who want to have coolness in their homes must emphasize energy efficiency, so that they benefit from comfort with as little consumption as possible. reduced by electricity.
That is why it is very important to take into account the energy label when purchasing them, because an A+++ class appliance can consume up to 50% less electricity than a C or D class appliance.
According to the E.ON study, 43% of the surveyed respondents say that they are aware of the fact that they can call on their energy supplier for home cooling solutions.
For example, interest in the E.ON Cool package, which includes air conditioners with Inverter technology and technical services, is constantly growing, with more than 16,000 household customers choosing, in the last three years, this turnkey solution.
Air conditioners with Inverter technology are used both for cooling the home, but also for heating, on cooler days, without the need to turn on the boiler. They are preferable to the classic ones for the many benefits: lower electricity consumption by up to 30%, high energy efficiency, low noise and high reliability over time.
