Victoria Zinchuk has been appointed new EBRD Director for Romania. In this position she will head the Bank’s Resident Office in Bucharest. Ms Zinchuk most recently served as Regional Director for Central Europe, based in Zagreb.
She succeeds Mark Davis, who will be moving to Zagreb to take up his new EBRD regional country management assignment as of 1 September.
In Romania, Ms Zinchuk will lead EBRD operations and help boost its economy through investment, advice and support for reforms. Romania is one of the top 10 EBRD’s countries of operations with more than €10 billion invested in the country to date.

Ms Zinchuk has over 27 years of professional experience, of which nearly 10 years in management and leadership roles within EBRD. She has strong track record in originating, structuring and implementation of investment transactions across various sectors in EBRD region. Victoria also has extensive and successful hands-on experience in leading policy dialogue, developing and implementing sector and country strategies as well as representing EBRD with government authorities, business counterparts and the media.
Ms Zinchuk holds master’s degrees in banking and finance from the Kiev State University of Economics, Ukraine and the University of Central England, Birmingham.
