The Government of Romania approved, on Thursday, the Ordinance which provides that the administrative-territorial units can guarantee the loans contracted by the thermal energy supply service operators, for the purchase of the fuel necessary to ensure the thermal energy in the cold season 2023-2024.

According to the normative act, in the year 2023, the administrative-territorial units can guarantee the loans contracted by the subordinate thermal energy supply service operators who provide the public service of thermal energy production in a centralized system, for the purchase of fuel necessary to ensure the thermal energy in the 2023-2024 cold season, in compliance with the legislation in the field of state aid, according to News.ro.

“Our goal is to ensure the thermal comfort and, implicitly, the quality of life of the citizens, through the optimal supply of the thermal agent in the coming winter, and the new regulations were promoted for the preparation in optimal conditions of ensuring the continuity of the centralized supply service with thermal energy in the season cold,” stated Minister Adrian-Ioan Veștea, according to a press release from the Ministry of Development.
