The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has completed the operationalization and digitization process of the Natural Gas Market Reporting and Monitoring Platform, in accordance with the provisions of the Natural Gas Market Monitoring Methodology, according to a press release.
According to the quoted source, the platform, developed exclusively with internal resources, represents a significant step towards increasing and monitoring the transparency and efficiency of the Romanian energy sector, demonstrates the authority’s commitment to providing innovative digital solutions for the natural gas market and to supporting the monitoring and reporting process , thus facilitating communication with licensed economic operators, as well as with centralized market administrators.
“This platform offers several advantages. First of all, ANRE offers services that are based on an advanced digital system that uses the latest technologies that form the basis of an easy-to-use platform that allows operators in the natural gas industry to report the data required according to ANRE requirements. Secondly, it increases the efficiency in the reporting process, so that the time and effort required for preparing and submitting reports is reduced. Thus, operators can focus more on their main activities. Thirdly, increases the real-time monitoring capacity of the commercial flow of natural gas, starting from production/import, supply, storage, transport and distribution,” said the president of ANRE, George Niculescu.
He emphasized that ANRE aligns itself with new trends. At the same time, the president of ANRE emphasized that the institution will continue to develop and improve the platforms for reporting and monitoring the electricity and natural gas markets in order to respond to the constantly changing needs of the industry.
